Displate
Manufacturer and retailer of metal posters designed by artists from around the world

Home decor, online marketplace, Direct2Consumer, in-house manufacturing and unique techniques. The business model for the Polish company Displate combines all of these elements and gives them a global airing. These are all good reasons for Miton’s investment in Displate – another of our investments into the idea of “buying with our eyes”.

Displate makes metal “posters” that are unique in several ways. First, Displate makes the posters in-house using several of their patented techniques. Also, the posters are hung with the help of special magnets.

Second, all Displate designs are original, placed on the Displate online marketplace by independent artists from all around the world. A customer selects a design of their liking, Displate manufactures and delivers the poster, and the artist receives a commission. There are also designs under license from
well-known names such as Marvel and Star Wars.

More than 35,000 independent artists from 86 countries offer their designs on Displate, with almost 800,000 designs to choose from. And thanks to a collaboration with the foundation Trees for the Future, 1 tree is planted for every Displate poster sold. Twelve million trees have been planted to date.
